METABOLIC WELLNESS

At the Metabolic Wellness Clinic, we use YOUR health data to personalize a plan to optimize your lifestyle choices to prevent and reverse chronic disease.

We focus on Nutrition, Sleep, Exercise and Stress Management as drivers to improve your metabolic health.

WHAT IS METABOLIC HEALTH?

Metabolic health is defined by how well the body is able to use and process ENERGY.  When our bodies do this efficiently, we function at our highest potential.  This is Metabolic Wellness.  When this process breaks down, for multiple reasons, we develop chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, infertility, fatty liver, and even Alzheimer’s Disease.

WHY SHOULD THIS MATTER TO ME?

Data from a recent large-scale study suggest that 88% of Americans are not metabolically healthy.  This means that statistically, you probably do not meet all 5 of the benchmarks for metabolic wellness and are not functioning at your highest potential

The good news is: ALL FIVE benchmarks of metabolic health are within your control and highly influenced by your lifestyle choices.  Focusing in on your individual risk factors for disease helps us to personalize an actionable plan for YOU.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE METABOLIC WELLNESS CLINIC?

· We will obtain baseline data (labs, measurements) as well as a detailed health history to determine current metabolic health and risk for future disease.
· You will have the opportunity to wear a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) as a short-term tool to learn about your unique response to food and other lifestyle factors.
· We will use your health data to develop a personalized strategy for you to become metabolically healthy.
· You should expect to learn a lot about your body and become empowered by how it responds to the choices you make.
· You will have access to your health care provider through scheduled follow up visits and by email between visits.

Metabolic wellness is not primary care. While we can provide many overlapping services, we recommend that everyone has a primary care provider that they see regularly to ensure all necessary health screenings are completed and that chronic conditions are monitored and managed appropriately. We are happy to communicate and collaborate with your primary care providers whenever necessary.
